Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is a British-American sitarist and musician. She was the youngest and the first woman to be awarded an award from the British House of Commons Shield she's had nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian origin to perform live and to serve as a presenter at the awards ceremony. Anoushka shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. She was a child who bounded between London to New Delhi. At New Delhi, she made her first appearance at only 13 years of age. In 1999, she completed her high school studies within Encinitas CA.
